Do you know how to play? If you are a teacher with little to no experience teaching drama, this program is for you.
TNT DramaMatters and the
Screen Actor’s Guild Foundation have partnered to develop the “How-to-Play” video and teaching guide for educators who want to understand how to bring drama into their classrooms. With “How-to-Play,” you’ll learn step-by-step how easy it is to help your students:
- Develop creative expression
- Improve literacy skills
- Build confidence, communication, and cooperation through having fun
Our video lessons were filmed over a 10 week period in a real-life setting, using children with no previous drama experience. In our program, you’ll learn by watching these students discover:
- Theatre games
- Improvisation tactics
- Creative writing skills
- Theatre vocabulary
- How to create a dramatic performance
To make it even easier, we’ve included a teaching guide to help you follow along with our instructors.
